Norwich City vs Tottenham Hotspur
English Premier League
Date: 28 December 2019, Saturday.
Kick-off at 15:00 UK/ 16:00 Central European Time
Venue: Carrow Road.

Tottenham need to secure another win against a struggling Norwich side to keep up with the top four in the Premier League on Saturday.

Tottenham have been struggling to keep up with the best in England this season and a tough break at home against Chelsea made sure the gap won’t be closed before New Year. The Lilywhites haven’t been convincing away from home under Jose Mourinho but should be able to beat Norwich at Carrow Road, as the Canaries are struggling even more to put together an unbeaten run in the League this term. Spurs should have most of their key members available but will have to play yet another game without the World Cup winner Hugo Lloris in the squad.

Norwich City Team News, Updates and Facts

Norwich Team News

Daniel Farke is missing Josip Drmic, Ben Godfrey, and Timm Klose with injuries at the moment.

Norwich Key Man

The Canaries will have to just start hoping the Pukki party can reignite soon.  Teemu Pukki started the season on absolute fire, but he has cooled off of late.  Goals have been much harder to come by, even for the free-scoring Finn, meaning they may be headed down the drain soon if they can’t reverse the rot.  In goal, Tim Krul is one to watch here.  He will have to come up with some big saves in order for them to have a chance, even if Spurs aren’t quite at their best, you feel.

Norwich Team Form

Norwich have four losses and a draw in their last five matches:

1-0 loss at Aston Villa
1-2 home loss vs Wolves
1-1 draw at Leicester
1-2 home loss vs Sheffield United
2-1 loss at Southampton

Norwich Predicted Starting Line up

Expected Line up: 4-2-3-1

  • Defenders:Aarons, Zimmermann, Hanley, Byram
  • Defensive Midfielders:Stiepermann, Trybull
  • Attacking Midfielders:Hernandez, Vrancic, Cantwell
  • Forwards:Pukki

Tottenham Team News

Jose Mourinho will be missing winger Son Heung-Min and center midfielder Harry Winks due to suspension for this tie.  Hugo Lloris and Ben Davies remain out with injuries.

Tottenham Key Man

Harry Kane was at his lethal best on Boxing Day, scoring twice but having just one count.  That now makes it 11 on the season for the England man, a great record that many will expect him to add to in this fixture.  Alongside him, Dele Alli is just in stunning form.  He scored one of the goals of the season, or any season for that matter, when he chipped home against the Seagulls with aplomb.  It finished off a sterling move, too, giving Spurs a huge boost of confidence.
