When London rivals Tottenham Hotspur visit Chelsea in the Premier League on Sunday, the Blues will have their first significant test of the 2022–23 campaign.

Thomas Tuchel was concerned by the lack of goals since the performance was far from convincing. If the Blues are to perform better than they did the previous season in the Premier League, the German strategist must find a method to address that problem as soon as possible.
Tottenham, meanwhile, started their season well by thumping Southampton 4-1 at home.
The fact that none of Antonio Conte’s star attackers, Harry Kane or Son Heung-min, scored in the opening game will be encouraging. However, the squad found other players to fill the void.
Any team that wins this high-profile matchup will be able to prove to the rest of their opponents early on how serious they are about winning the championship.
Chelsea hopes to continue its winning streak against Tottenham, which the Lilywhites will be anxious to end on Sunday at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea has won each of their last four meetings in all competitions.

Last season, Chelsea had the upper hand over Tottenham, defeating them in four games across all competitions.
The Blues have yet to work out the bugs in their system, whilst the Lilywhites appear to be a far more well-oiled machine going into Sunday’s encounter.
At Stamford Bridge, the game is expected to be fiercely contested, but Antonio Conte’s team has a chance to pull off a significant victory in what might be a season-opening six-pointer.

Ben Chilwell is still making his comeback from a serious knee injury, therefore Tuchel may give Cucurella his first start.
In the final third, Armando Broja is challenging Kai Havertz for a position, and Tuchel must choose whether to remain with the central-midfield combination of Jorginho and N’Golo Kante.
Although Kalidou Koulibaly had to be replaced last weekend due to cramp, the Senegalese player is set to start this match despite Mateo Kovacic’s absence due to a knee injury.
Conte will almost definitely use the same starting lineup from the victory over Southampton, barring any injury concerns.
After serving a suspension from his time at Everton, Richarlison is anticipated to be among the replacements.
