A contentious YouTube celebrity and one of the best MMA fighters in history will square off in a boxing battle. It is a genuine collision of aesthetics with the potential to ignite the sky. What will transpire when Anderson Silva and Jake Paul square off?

On Saturday, October 29, the bout will take place at Phoenix’s Gila River Arena.

The 47-year-old Silva joined the UFC in 2006. He made his MMA debut in 1997. In his UFC debut, he knocked out Chris Leben. Later, he defeated Rich Franklin to capture the middleweight championship. He had a 1-7 slide (with one no-contest) after losing the belt to Chris Weidman at UFC 162, which marked the end of his UFC career. His career was impacted by age and injuries. In October 2020, Silva faced Uriah Hall and lost via TKO. Later, he was let out of his UFC contract.

Silva had previously made boxing ring appearances in 1998 and 2005, losing both times. To defeat Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in Mexico, he returned in 2021. Silva defeated former MMA fighter Tito Ortiz in the first round in September 2021. In an unwinnable match last May, he faced Bruno Machado.
