It’s hard to believe that this year has already been a strange one for Tyson Fury. Due to various factors, the reigning World Champion has not been able to fight his usual opponent. However, on Saturday, he will be defending his title against Derek Chisora at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
In April, Fury faced off against Dillian Whyte, who had been a mandatory challenger for some time. He was expected to easily win the fight. However, instead, Fury surprised the spectators by announcing his retirement from professional boxing.
The announcement triggered a series of speculations about Fury’s future. During this time, he started talking about a trilogy bout with Chisora. However, days after announcing his fight against Chisora, Fury decided to retire once more.
Although he officially retired from professional boxing, Fury still intends to continue fighting. He had also vacated his Ring Magazine title.
